Location/accessibility:
The Postjeskade is located in the West Indische buurt with characteristic 20s/30s appearance. The popular neighbourhood De Baarsjes has developed in recent years into a trendy and lively area with cosy cafés, eateries, trendy coffee shops and a diversity of shops. Among others, Café Zurich, Coffee Company and Brasserie Radijs are good examples. It is therefore not for nothing that it is one of West's most sought-after residential areas at the moment. If you are sports-minded or love a walk in the park, you have a choice of various parks with a wide range of recreational activities. For example, the Vondelpark, Rembrandtpark and Erasmuspark are in the immediate vicinity. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the door and also 2 charging stations. You can moor your sloop or boat in front of the door. Within walking distance are also good tram and bus connections that can take you to any corner of the city. As well as the NS railway station Lelylaan is nearby from where you can be at both Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central Station within minutes. So accessibility is fantastic! In addition, you can be on the A10 ring road by car within minutes.

Sellers tell - What makes the current residents enjoy living here, and why did they decide to sell the property? Sellers tell.
- When did you buy the property, and why did you decide to buy this property then?
We bought this property in 1989. When we entered, we immediately noticed that it was a large and bright house. Because it was in May when we bought this house, all the trees in the park were fresh green, what a view you have here, no over neighbours, park in front of the door and for the rest all amenities within walking distance. Yes, it felt right away.
- What makes it so pleasant to live in this house and in this neighbourhood?
It is a quiet neighbourhood with a great view, we have nice and friendly neighbours. The involvement of the neighbourhood has increased in two years due to two whatsapp groups (neighbourhood prevention and general neighbourhood app) which is a nice communication tool. The location is ideal, who can say in a city like Amsterdam that you overlook a park and have no neighbours living opposite you? Supermarkets are really within a 10-minute walk, the motorway a few minutes away and the city is easy to reach by public transport or bike. When the children came it was really nice to have an enclosed playground in front of the door.
- Why are you leaving / why is the house for sale?
Because we would like to have a garden and we are now still reasonably young and fit to be grounded somewhere else.
