Surroundings
Oostpoort is a centrally located "young" neighbourhood on the Oost/Watergraafsmeer border where there is always something to do for everyone. Although in the middle of the city, it also feels a bit like a village where living, working, sports, shopping, eating and drinking, almost every imaginable amenity is within reach. The complex is located at the head of the Oostpoort shopping centre and borders directly on the water. Oostpoort is a relatively new shopping centre with a diversity of shops for daily groceries as well as various specialist shops and lunch spots. Oranje-Vrijstaatkade directly borders the Watergraafsmeer. Around the corner are the shops and restaurants of Middenweg and Linnaeusstraat. Within walking distance is the Dappermarkt and Beukenplein.

Walking or jogging along the Ringdijk is great, and for lovers of greenery, Park Frankendael, Oosterpark and Flevopark are nearby. There are numerous sports facilities in the vicinity, including hockey and football pitches, tennis courts and the Jaap Eden IJsbaan.

Accessibility
